ABN BAS has five directors, among these three are Registered Tax Agents and four Chartered Accountants / CPAs. Kelvin Deer
Kelvin's primary role at ABN BAS is as a technical consultant and to drive the business at a strategic level. Kelvin has a particular expertise in matters relating to the property and construction industry and the formation of syndicated property trusts.Kelvin and his ABN BAS co-directors - Peter Thorp, Darren Hagarty and Kellie Powell - operate a medium sized accounting and financial service practice, PT Partners, which was formed in 1998, as well as being centrally involved in ABN BAS's sister entity, Australian Bookkeepers Network, which was formed in 2001.
Darren Hagarty
Darren's primary role at ABN BAS is as a technical consultant and to drive the business at a strategic level. Darren has a particular expertise in matters relating to business structuring and succession planning.Darren and his ABN BAS co-directors - Peter Thorp, Kelvin Deer and Kellie Powell - operate a medium sized accounting and financial service practice, PT Partners, which was formed in 1998, as well as being centrally involved in ABN BAS's sister entity, Australian Bookkeepers Network, which was formed in 2001.
Leanne Lewis
Leanne's primary role at ABN BAS is to raise its awareness level and profile across the Australian Bookkeepers Network (ABN) member base.Leanne is the operational heartbeat of ABN. She is vastly experienced in customer service and plays a vital role in coordinating many of ABN's events and projects. Leanne takes the ultimate responsibility for ensuring that ABN Members receive the very best service, and the relationship between ABN and ABN BAS is but one aspect of that. Leanne maintains a constant dialogue with our strategic partners, the Tax Office and the broader bookkeeping industry.
Kellie Powell
Kellie's primary role at ABN BAS is as a technical consultant on issues of superannuation and retirement planning. Kellie is an Authorised Representative with Securitor Financial Group Ltd and is licensed to advise on Managed Investments, Superannuation, Insurance and Self Managed Superannuation Funds. Kellie and her ABN BAS co-directors - Peter Thorp, Darren Hagarty and Kelvin Deer - operate a medium sized accounting and financial service practice, PT Partners, which was formed in 1998, as well as being centrally involved in ABN BAS's sister entity, Australian Bookkeepers Network, which was formed in 2001.
Peter Thorp
Peter's primary role at ABN BAS is as a technical consultant and to drive the business at a strategic level. Peter has a particular expertise in matters relating to business valuation and re-structuring. Peter and his ABN BAS co-directors - Kelvin Deer, Darren Hagarty and Kellie Powell - operate a medium sized accounting and financial service practice, PT Partners, which was formed in 1998, as well as being centrally involved in ABN BAS's sister entity, Australian Bookkeepers Network, which was formed in 2001.

Tracey Steuart
Tracey is the accounts manager and assumes responsibility for the invoicing and direct debiting that relates to ABN BASs service offerings to members.
Josh McMullen
Josh is ABN's chief technical editor and researcher. Holding a Bachelor of Laws, Josh is vastly experienced in all areas of income tax, FBT and GST law. Josh is the editor of ABN’s various publications and fields many of the technical questions received through the ABN BAS Helpline.
